The first year of business ownership is a punch in the mouth. Construction will be delayed. Employees will quit on their first day via text message. Your Grand Opening marketing might flop. The successful owners are the ones who don't panic. They problem-solve. They view these as 'tuition payments' to the University of Entrepreneurship.
I tell my candidates: 'I can help you find the perfect model, but I can't run it for you.' You have to be willing to get comfortable with being uncomfortable. You have to be willing to sweep the floor if the janitor doesn't show up. If you are looking for easy, buy a lottery ticket. If you are willing to embrace the suck for 18 months to live like a king for a lifetime, then we can talk.
